Shield Wall

A natural mountain barrier protecting the settled region of northern Arrakis from the desert's violence.

Definition and context

In his confrontation with the Emperor, Paul breaches the wall with atomics, opening a path for the storm and the worms. It is not an artificial Holtzman shield.
